Stan Parris - RIP

Sad news, former Congressman Stanford E. Parris, who served six terms in Congress representing Northern Virginia died on Saturday. He was 80.

I met Parris 1989 when he ran for Governor. I was a volunteer in his campaign, and enjoyed every minute. He served in Congress from 1973-74 and then returned from 1981 through 1990. He was a member of the Banking and Finance Committee and cautioned about the looming savings and loan crisis.

He was a solid conservative, and a great Virginian.
