Puckett Resigns Republicans Take Control of The State Senate

Democrats began the weekend in control of the State Senate, but today they are in the minority. Going into the weekend they had a 20-20 tie with Democrat LG Ralph Northam breaking the tie in Democrats favor. Today, Senator Phil Puckett (D-Russell) announced his resignation, which means the Republicans are now in the majority 20-19.
