The Virginia AFL-CIO has started mailing campaign brochures to potential voters on Deeds' behalf. Mailers have already been showing up in the Richmond area, and soon should make it across the state.
If it wasn't for compulsory union dues the labor bosses would have nothing to spend on campaigns, and Deeds would have trouble raising money for a single ad buy.
