McDonnell's Approval Rating at 63 Percent

Despite all the problems that the Commonwealth faces, Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell scores high in the latest opinion poll. From the Richmond Times Dispatch:

"Six months into his administration, Gov. Bob McDonnell's approval rating stands at 63 percent, according to a poll commissioned by the governor's political operation.
His disapproval rating was just shy of 30 percent among the 600 likely voters surveyed June 13-15 by Public Opinion Strategies."

The poll also pegged President Obama's approval rating among Virginians at 47 percent, and a 50 percent disapproval rate. The survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
