Looks like Vance Wilkins, who was Virginia's first Republican House speaker, is going to take an active role in Virginia politics. Since his retirement in 2002 Wilkins has for the most part stayed out of politics.
According to the Richmond Times Dispatch Wilkins is joining the board of directors of the Virginia based Take-Our-Country-Back PAC.
Wilkins was the architect of the Republican take over of the House of Delegates in the late 90's. His recruitment efforts, fund-raising and campaigning made the GOP take over a reality.
