Former Delegate Brian Moran Says He is Interested in the State Party Chairmanship

Former Delegate Brian Moran has expressed an interest in replacing Richard Cranwell as Democrat state party chairman. My first reaction to this news is that Republicans must be gleeful about the prospect.
Moran ran a horrible campaign for Governor last year, remember, he failed to beat Creigh Deeds, and Terry McAuliffe for the Democrat nomination. In fact his campaign was so inept that even his brother, Congressman Jim Moran, criticized him. And when Moran resigned his House of Delegates seat he did nothing to help the Democrat running to replace him, in fact the Republican candidate Joe Murray came within a couple dozen votes of winning.

I am not sure Brian Moran is what the beleaguered Democrat party needs. However, if they really want him I won't stand in the way.
