Houck Concedes to Reeves, GOP Takes Control of the State Senate!

Virginia Republicans picked up the extra seat they needed in Tuesday's election, and now with the help of the Lt. Governor, who casts any and all tie breaking votes, Republicans will effectively control the State Senate.  And best of all, Janet Howell will no longer chair the Privilege and Election Committee..

When Lt. Governor John Hager was in office with Governor Gilmore, the senate was tied 20-20 and the parties shared power. Is there any reason that precedent should be broken?
