Governor McDonnell Endorses Mayor Will Sessoms

The following is a release from Will Sessoms for Mayor:

"Governor Bob McDonnell affirmed his long-standing support of Virginia Beach Mayor Will Sessoms and his re-election bid, citing Virginia Beach's low unemployment, its excellent school system and its accolade as best run city in the nation as reasons why Mayor Sessoms deserves another four years. All are "directly attributed to the outstanding leadership of Mayor Will Sessoms," Governor McDonnell said. Governor McDonnell's full statement of endorsement is below:

"Virginia Beach has been named America's 'best run city' and that is directly attributed to the outstanding leadership of Mayor Will Sessoms. I have known Will Sessoms for over twenty years and his commitment to the city he loves is unmatched. Virginia Beach under his leadership is heading in the right direction; one of the lowest unemployment rates and crime rates of any city in the nation, a public school system that has been ranked the 5th best in the entire country, and the only city with a Triple A bond rating in the entire region. Will Sessoms shares my commitment in building a better Virginia and a more prosperous Commonwealth for our children and grandchildren. More importantly, Will is a wonderful father, husband and friend. I'm proud to stand with him as he continues to work to make Virginia Beach the best city in America. Please join me in supporting Will Sessoms for Mayor on November 6th."
