Mike Farris Makes Last Minute Pitch for Obenshain

“There are many reasons why I support Mark Obenshain for Attorney General, but today I’d like to tell you about one of the most important: his principled record of standing up for innocent human life.

Mark doesn’t just vote pro-life; he’s a pro-life leader with a rock-solid record of defending those unable to defend themselves. It’s no accident that he has been named a Family Foundation Legislator of the Year.

Mark carried the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act in the Senate, legislation which would have banned abortions after the point at which an unborn child is known to be capable of feeling pain. He introduced legislation to forbid insurance plans on any taxpayer-subsidized exchange from providing coverage for elective abortions. He carried a bill to create a cause of action for the wrongful death of an unborn child. And he has routinely submitted budget amendments to prevent taxpayer dollars from funding Planned Parenthood.

That’s a pro-life record few legislators can match. If you want an Attorney General with an abiding commitment to defending the right to life for all, born and unborn, then you will find no better candidate than my friend Mark Obenshain.

We need Mark’s pro-life leadership in the Attorney General’s office – but he can’t get there without your help. Please join me in supporting Mark Obenshain at the Republican Convention in Richmond on May 18th.”
