McLean, VA - The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has endorsed Delegate Barbara Comstock's reelection campaign for the 34th Virginia House of Delegates District. The endorsement was made by NFIB/Virginia SAFE (Save America's Free Enterprise) Trust, which is comprised exclusively of NFIB members.
"Barbara Comstock clearly understands the challenges facing Virginia's job creators," said Nicole Riley, state director of NFIB/Virginia. "Our members believe Delegate Comstock will continue to take a fiscally responsible approach to managing state government and support legislation that helps our small businesses grow and create jobs."
In response to the endorsement from the 5,500 small business owners in the Commonwealth, Delegate Comstock said: "As a small businesswoman myself, I am particularly honored to receive the support of those who are creating jobs and opportunity throughout the Commonwealth. I am proud to be working day in and day out with our job creators, entrepreneurs and business community. My legislative successes have very much been focused on jobs and opportunities and I look forward to continuing to work with the men and women of the NFIB."
The NFIB/Virginia SAFE Trust's endorsement is critical to a candidate's campaign. Small-business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB has pledged it will activate its grassroots network on behalf of the campaign. NFIB's political support is based on the candidates' positions and records on small business issues.
