I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. On a historical note, the very first Thanksgiving was held here in Virginia. I know, I know, you were told the first Thanksgiving took place in Plymouth Massachusetts in 1621. Actually, the first thanksgiving feast in English North America was held on December 4, 1619 at the Berkeley Plantation on the James River. The settlers set aside that day to give thanks to God and declared that it should be celebrated perpetually.
