More Local Leaders Endorse Bill Howell for Re-Election

The following is a release from the Howell for Delegate campaign:

FALMOUTH, VA – Four more local elected leaders from the 28th House of Delegates district are endorsing Delegate Bill Howell (R-Stafford) for re-election to the Virginia House of Delegates. Fredericksburg Vice Mayor Billy Withers, Fredericksburg City Council Member Matt Kelly, Fredericksburg Circuit Court Clerk Jeff Small and Stafford County Commissioner of the Revenue Scott Mayausky announced their endorsements Wednesday. Last week five of the six current Republicans on the Stafford County Board of Supervisors endorsed Howell.

“I am very grateful to have the support of Billy, Matt, Jeff and Scott. They are well-recognized and well-liked local leaders who I’ve enjoyed working with,” said Delegate Howell. “Their support shows that our campaign continues to gain momentum. These four local leaders join five Republicans from the Stafford County Board of Supervisors and over 60 other local and community activists who are supporting our campaign. I’m honored to have their support.”

“Bill Howell is the best choice for the House of Delegates,” said Billy Withers, the Vice Mayor of Fredericksburg. “He stands up for Fredericksburg in Richmond and that’s why I am endorsing him for re-election this year.”

Fredericksburg City Council Member Matt Kelly said, ““Bill Howell is not a sound bite politician. He is not afraid to take a stand. He has been fighting to have a reasoned conversation about the impacts of Obamacare in Virginia. I’m proud to endorse him for re-election.”

“I know Bill Howell,” said Fredericksburg City Circuit Court Clerk Jeff Small. “He is one of the most accessible, helpful and knowledgeable legislators I have ever worked with. He has a sincere desire to represent and help our community. I proudly endorse him for re-election.”

“Bill has been a mentor, role model and friend for over 20 years,” said Stafford County Commissioner of the Revenue Scott Mayausky. “He has served his constituents with dignity and honor, while not compromising his principles. I am proud to join the growing list of local leaders from across our region who are standing with Bill.”
