Virginia Democrats Pledge to Stay Liberal

Virginia Democrats gathered this weekend in Staunton to lick their wounds and plan strategy for 2010. On Saturday they voted for a resolution on health care which demonstrates that they have no intention of moving toward the political center. According to the Washington Post:

To reaffirm the party's progressive values, the central committee passed a resolution declaring that Democratic lawmakers should support health-care reform, including a public option.

As long as they wholeheartedly embrace Obama, Virginia Democrats will lose.
