Boost Virginia's Economy, Cut the State Sales Tax.

With our economy struggling, and with many Virginians looking for work this seems to me like the perfect time to cut taxes. Specifically, cutting the sales tax which is currently 5% (4% state tax and 1% local tax).

Cutting taxes now would save Virginia consumers hundreds of millions of dollars, money which can help create other businesses. Cutting the sales tax can help Virginians meet their obligations while they cope with the national recession.

Today I propose cutting the sales tax 1/2 percent on all goods. This would stimulate Virginia's economy and ultimately create jobs.
