Kudos to Senator Webb

With President Obama expected to go to Copenhagen next week to discuss the alleged problem of global warming and what to do about it, Virginia Senator Jim Webb is standing up and warning the President not to go to far.

In an open letter Senator Webb warns Obama against agreeing to any deal:
"I would like to express my concern regarding reports that the Administration may believe it has the unilateral power to commit the government of the United States to certain standards that may be agreed upon at the upcoming United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of Parties 15 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The phrase “politically binding” has been used."

As of now the President has not responded to the letter. Let's hope Senator Webb votes against the proposed cap and trade legislation when it comes up for a vote next year.

I couldn't agree more. I'm not sure what all went down, but I really believe we must make our own decisions regarding the climate and not just follow the rest of the world.
