The Gentleman Endorses Murray For Congress

In Virginia’s 8th Congressional District Primary retired US Army Colonel Patrick Murray faces federal government attorney Matthew Berry. Having looked closely at the race, I favor Murray in the June 8th primary for the nomination to face Jim Moran. Murray is a strong federalist who will defend the constitution and is an advocate of limited government, reduced spending and defunding of Obamacare. His strong leadership background, maturity and extensive experience makes him the best candidate to face Moran in November.

This is a very sage endorsement. Murray is exactly the right candidate to go toe to toe against Moran in this favorable political climate. If there was ever a time in the 8th, this is it!

Good call on this endorsement. After having seen the first debate between Patrick and his opponent, Matthew Berry, I think the choice for who is going to be able to stand up and fight Jim Moran is pretty clear! Congrats Patrick!

Patrick Murray is a brilliant man with strong convictions. I agree that he is the perfect candidate. He will certainly get my vote.

Having read your blog, I just to look up more about both of the candidates...

How do you think Murray is at all more qualified over Berry? Berry not only seems to have better experience (that and from what I've heard Murray JUST moved into the district last fall), but he has much more appeal to Independents and Democrats in the fall.

This HEAVILY Democratic district, your endorsement (for the reasons given) just doesn't make sense.

As a military family member, I am pleased to see that you have the keen insight to support a man who has such strong ethics and real world experience. I am honored to have known Patrick since his college days. He was impressive then and is an incredible candidate. Virginia could do no better than to have Patrick Murray represent the 8th District!

Simply put, in every aspect of comparison between Matthew Berry and Patrick Murray, Pat is clearly the better choice to defeat Jim Moran. Pat's understanding of the issues facing the district as well as his courage and conviction to improve the quality of life of the district's citizens is to be applauded and supported. In contrast to Berry's "insider Political experience", Pat's maturity, wisdom, and self confidence comes from a life dedicated to the service of our great nation. It is his life of deprivation and hardship borne over a 24 year period that distinguishes himself from Matthew Berry. It is one thing to applaud Pat's military service as many do publicly, but privately sneer that he's not truly a member of the "club" as many of Berry's supporters do. it is another thing altogether to see in person Pat's earnest conviction in seeking to correct the direction of our country through the votes of her citizens of the 8th district. On June 8th, Pat Murray will win the primary race between himself and Matthew Berry. In Nov, Pat Murray will defeat Jim Moran and become the 8th Virginia Districts next Congressman. In rebuttal to the comment posted that Patrick Murray just moved into the District.....Pat has lived in the 8th District on and off in between assignments for the past 24 years. In addition he lived 8 years straight in the same District and same location where he now lives. Vote for Pat Murray on June 8.

Col. Murray is precisely the right candidate to put against Moran. Who better than a decorated war veteran and Army Colonel to tell this cronie Goodbye! He not only has the toughness of a military hero, but he's played major roles in some of Washington's most heated battles too. Northern Virginia needs a real fighter in this race. I hope that fighter is Colonel Patrick Murray!

Berry is a Yale lawyer pretend Republican who is getting his money from New York investment bankers who hate Jim Moran. They hate us too. Berry will vote for replacement immigration to take our jobs even more reliably than Jim Moran.
