Well, if you ride the Metro make sure to put a little more money on your card. Thanks to years of mismanagement metro riders will start paying more to ride the system. Riders will have to pay another 20 cents for rides during rush hour, which runs from 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. on weekdays, starting this week.
The purpose of the increase is to help close a $189 million shortfall in Metro's operating budget for this fiscal year.
