No real surprise, Virginia Republicans held a State Senate and a House of Delegates seat on Tuesday. In the 8th House district Republican Greg Habeeb defeated Democrat Ginger Mumpower, with just over 63 percent of the vote. And in the State Senate race Bill Stanley defeated Democrat Hank Davis with 61 percent of the vote.
I say it is no surprise because both these districts are considered very Republican. I am glad they both won.
