George Allen: Mr. President, you are wrong!

The following is a statement by George Allen:

“Yesterday, President Obama told a group of high-dollar donors that Americans "... have lost our ambition, our imagination, and our willingness to do the things that built the Golden Gate Bridge..." Mr. President, you are wrong.

Americans are the most productive, innovative and hard-working people in the world.

It is not the quality of the American people that is holding back our economic growth - it's Washington and its failed policies that keep digging us deeper into debt while strangling enterprising small businesses.

The federal government is taxing and regulating America out of the competition for jobs, and American working men and women and consumers are paying the price.

We must not be silent as President Obama blames Americans for the very policies that he and his liberal Washington allies imposed on us, with Tim Kaine's advocacy and help as Chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

We can envision a better future, and put an end to the wasteful government spending, burdensome regulations, uncertainty and higher taxes that are holding back our job creators.”
