The following is a statement by Virginia Republican Party Chairman Pat Mullins:
"Thank you Henrico County Republicans! All properly filed delegates were allowed to go forward to their District Convention.
This is how Republicans are supposed to act.
We can win when we build the party. We don't win when we try to tear the party down.
We win when we add people into the process. We lose when we turn conservative activists away and tell them there's no room at the Inn.
Can we stop this slating nonsense and quit fighting fellow conservatives and fellow Republicans?
Let's turn our sights to Mark Warner and beat him. Let's turn our sights on the Democrat Congressmen and beat them!"
