A headline that needs no exclamation point. In a major upset somewhere between the American Hockey team beating the Soviets in Lake Placid to Buster Douglas knocking out Mike Tyson. Little known professor and underfunded candidate, Dave Brat beat House Majority leader Eric Cantor in the 7th district primary.
The tough thing for Cantor is that he was a moderate Republican representing one of the state's most conservative districts.
Two lessons to take from the night, money in politics isn't everything, and amnesty is probably dead for this year.
