McDonnell Hopes to have Cabinet in Place By Inauguration

Robert McDonnell will be sworn in as Governor on Jan. 16, just a couple weeks away, and he still has a lot of positions in his administration to be filled. According to the Washington Post, McDonnell has five Cabinet secretaries left to name (health, education, technology, natural resources and commonwealth preparedness) and virtually all other positions.

In addition to his cabinet, McDonnell has about 250 positions that include deputy and assistant Cabinet secretaries, agency heads, senior leadership in the governor's office, the first lady's office and other administrative slots.

McDonnell's transition office has received 3,401 applicants for those 250 positions.

Yes, I did send in my resume.
